I'm Caroline: writer, educator and editor. What each of these pursuits have in common is a way for me to connect, explore and grow.

After graduating from Colorado State University in 2019 with a degree in Journalism, I continued to write on a freelance basis for Colorado Life Magazine. This long-form style of writing allowed me to spend hours getting to know my interview subjects, exploring their minds as they led me through the stories, values and sometimes deeply personal events that made up their lives.

I have spent many winters as a ski instructor, in three different countries. My students have ranged from toddlers to retirees in their 70s, and held a vast number of identities: from inner city school groups to billionaires' daughters to adolescent Maori boys. In 2021, I started teaching Spanish in classrooms in my hometown of Durango, Colorado. Through my seasons of instructing in these different capacities, I have been able to connect with my students, explore their goals, fears and motivations, and discover how to become a better facilitator of learning myself.

In 2020, I began my foray into editing, an extremely stimulating area for me that was full of opportunities for growth and development. Through the process of editing my clients' works, I learned to leverage my ability to draw out their stories and motivations in order to help them meet their own writing and communication goals.
